I'thousand 4 weeks away from "popping," with my 2nd petty bundle of joy. Eeeek… did I actually merely say that? Wow… I'm a little nervous. We have to move in to a new house before then, go set for baby, AND pack my hospital pocketbook, for when I get into labor. Problem??? All of our baby stuff is even so in storage. Aye.. STORAGE!!!! So nosotros have to get everything out, wipe everything down, set it all up, and do everything that a "nesting" momma wants to do. Prayers requested for my sanity, delight! 😉

Subsequently having a baby a couple of years ago, I realized what I actually needed, and what I actually didn't need at all.

So if you're a minimalist (or at least strive to exist, and to make life a little easier on you lot), I have a checklist that can be printed and used to make sure all of the necessities are included in your hospital bag!

Ok… now, I want to explain a scrap about some of the items on the checklist, in instance you find yourself going, "Huh?"

What do I Actually Need for my Infirmary Bag?

Although I've listed everything on the list, I idea I'd mention a few things below to explicate why and important notes to help brand your infirmary stay a fiddling more enjoyable. Make sure you take hold of the list for EVERYTHING I recommend.

Hospital Bag Checklist for Mom

• I'thou a bit addicted to numberless. So I could proceed and on almost where to get a purse, simply I'll spare you. Just a large duffel bag volition do!
• Download an app on your phone, so you can time contractions on your way to the hospital
• Hospital Registration Paperwork, if not already submitted
• Changes of dress for your Significant Other, forth with their must-have toiletries
• Camera and Charger (Tip: Make sure you fully accuse your camera battery earlier the big mean solar day, and brand certain your SIM card isn't full.)
• A thick, former towel or old blanket to sit on in the motorcar, in case yous're leaking from your water breaking.
• If planning to breastfeed, you may want to bring nipple cream. (I wish I would accept had that with my first ane because I was super sore.)
• Hospital Gown (I tin can't Await to wear the infirmary gowns that I bought from, ModMum. They volition fit Style better than those baggy-saggy hospital gowns that the infirmary provides. Bonus: yous'll look super cute wearing one.)
• Slippers or socks. (I actually threw mine away when I got abode because I didn't want to bring the germies in to my house. And so cheap slippers/flip flops would be perfect, so you lot tin toss them if you lot want.)
• Make-upward, castor, confront-wash, toothbrush and toothpaste, deodorant, whatever other toiletries y'all must have to feel clean and pretty.
• Cash for the vending auto, for your Pregnant Other.
• Your favorite snacks. You may want something to consume in the centre of the night after a feeding, and won't feel like calling the nurse.
• Motherhood/Nursing vesture for the day(s) after labor while guests are visiting. Y'all won't believe how proficient it will experience to get out of hospital gown.
• The infirmary should provide mesh underwear for after delivery, but if you're non into that… pack your own "granny panties."

Hospital Checklist for Baby

• Boppy Pillow (I didn't bring this with my first one, and I wish I would have.)
• Babe emery boards or clippers. A lot of hospitals will not cut fingernails anymore, and you lot don't desire your little one scratching the heck out of their face.
• You lot may want to accept your automobile seat installed beforehand, then you're not fumbling around, trying to get information technology set upwards in the automobile when it's time to FINALLY leave the hospital.
• I totally forgot a coating with my last one. The nurse looked at me and asked if I had ane, and I looked like a deer in headlights I'm certain. She let me take one from the infirmary, but she acted like I committed a crime because I took it. Lol. So I'll remember to take one this time, and then I can cover the baby up on the way home.

I simply got "pumped" all over once again, making that list for yous. Yes, still nervous, but so excited to take some other little baby that I can hold in my arms. If you're expecting, good luck to you lot, and I hope this list helps yous as much as it helps me when preparing!
