How Can I Change the Monitor to Be Projector Again

a. Printing Windows Central + P
b. You can also go to the Control Panel
c. Under Advent and Personalization, click Conform Screen Resolution
d. Click Projection to a Second Screen
e. Among the options displayed, choose Extend. Bank check if the outcome persists.

The problem is: PC brandish is identified as secondary display, and external brandish as the pc brandish. Then if one cull "but secondary brandish" with win+P keys, the external brandish switch off and stuffs are on pc brandish. That is the opposite of what it should be.
So it is not matter of resolution or primary display or extend/duplicate/etc... but how to swap display identified as main (pc brandish, the number "one" ) with the number "two".

This was the response I made to the first question that I found that was similar to mine which was regarding windows 7 in '09. I still tin can't believe how like shooting fish in a barrel it is for people to nonchalantly suggest that the numbers don't matter. Maybe they don't (though, in my case they most certainly do matter) but the fact that they are incorrect matters to me and those words shouldn't exist a office of any explanation to anyone almost annihilation on whatever level.
I take a like problem with windows 8.one. When I plug my tv into my pc it usurps the number one spot. At some betoken afterward that the native resolution (reported) of the old plasma monitor with which I'm working mysteriously changes and I'm left looking at duplo blocks with no options of irresolute this while my tv is connected to my pc.
That is a little problem that I easily work effectually merely I thought I'd come here to come across if in that location is something more of a solution available. I only fabricated it to the 2nd "the identity numbers don't matter."
Who are you people that say this? Even without the resolution problems I have, those numbers matter to me because they are wrong. There is nothing right or adequate about an outcome that misidentifies annihilation, regardless of how seemingly arbitrary. If the identity and behavior of something that lives in my organisation changes when a special guest shows, that is wrong.
Plain, in the five+ years since the original mail, Microsoft has seen fit to do nada to remedy the situation. Simply the option to reassign the identities, is that so hard to practise? According to the replies to OP, this company has conditioned its customer base to simply accept a problem if goose egg is "on fire." The problem is the fire!
Someone within the visitor has read the original post so, basically, I have to think that for the past 5+ years microsoft has been knowingly and deliberately putting out a product that some users have issue with. I'g sure that I am probably not the simply that has the resolution of their main monitor changed but even without that, why can't I expect precision from one of the largest tech companies in the earth. Why tin can't I wait a resolution after 5+ years? With one minor, inconsequential result, Microsoft has made it clear that they neither care well-nigh the quality of their flagship production or for the concerns of their customers.

I have the aforementioned problem.
Changing my primary display is easy only changing its identity is all but incommunicable.
I have two displays - one a 27" 2560x1440 screen connected via DVI (my primary screen) and the other a 1920X1080 TV connected via HDMI. However, they are identified as display 2 and brandish ane respectively.
This to all intents renders my Spyder4 screen calibrator effectively useless as it will only calibrate display ane.
Surely, there must exist a simple way of switching which is display 1 and which is display ii in much the same style as the tick box that presently says which is the main display.
Anyone got a solution?
A registry hack?

I completely agree with you 100%!
I find it actually sad how many people not merely plow a blind center to quality problems that go unfixed in a production they paid for, just actually go effectually defending it! If I buy a brand new Mercedes & the shifter is labeled wrong, I'm going to complain & ask for it to be stock-still. If in response I'1000 told,
"The transmission yet works if yous movement the stick to the right spot, it doesn't even matter!"
I'yard going to exist pissed right the hell off, & that's right At present pissed off! Fast frontwards 5+ years & they all the same oasis't bothered to stock-still it!? Even on newer models!!? Well this company obviously doesn't care near the quality of their products... I'll be trading in for a Cadillac. Sure I'd prefer to have the Mercedes... But I'd rather buy from a competitor who really gives a damn.
